Dragonfly Acro Yoga

Our 6 Week Beginners Course is ideal for those with no experience, or those who wish to develop a deeper grounding in the basics of Acro Yoga. You don’t need to bring a partner but be prepared to work closely with others and to foster a supportive and trusting atmosphere. Classes begin with a gentle yoga practice, encouraging connection to ones own body and breath, thus supporting partners to work compassionately and mindfully together. Each week, 2-3 new poses will be covered, and previously taught material will be revisited. The roles of base, flyer and spotter are taught and then practiced in small groups. During the second half of the course, if you are ready, we begin to combine our poses with transitions to build flows. Every learner is unique, and we aim to support each beginner to progress, providing challenge at an appropriate level. Sessions will finish with a therapeutic element, using aspects of acro, partner stretching and massage.
